Laura Breckinridge is one of five to sign on for AmusementOriginally intended as a comeback film for Candyman helmer Bernard Rose, Amusement is now in the hands of John Simpson, director of Freeze Frame, and The Hollywood Reporter has learned of the first casting for it.

Katheryn Winnick (Satan’s Little Helper), Laura Breckenridge (pictured, The Favor) and Jessica Lucas (The Covenant) have signed on to play three friends who are being stalked by a serial killer who knew them when they were young. Keir O’Donnell (Starkweather) and Tad Hilgenbrinck (Grave Situations) have signed on to play boyfriends who also become entangled in the mess.

Production rolls this week in Budapest, Hungary, working from a script by When a Stranger Calls remake writer Jake Wade Wall, the same man who’s working on the screenplay for the Clock Tower game adaptation. We’ll have more on Amusement as it falls in our laps so stick around!
