Saw V & Repo DVDs announced! The folks over at DVD Active got a look at a trade ad for the upcoming “>Saw V DVD release, which something tells me isn’t going to fly off the shelves like the others did. Maybe because it was a POS?

Anyway, the DVD hits on January 20th and will come in both a Unrated Director’s Cut and an Unrated Collector’s Edition. Just to confuse things. Commentary by director David Hackl and first AD Steve Webb, as well as a second track with producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules and executive producers Peter Block and Jason Constantine will be included. There will also be five featurettes (The Pendulum Trap, The Cube Trap, The Coffin Trap, The Fatal Five, Slicing the Cube: Editing the Cube Trap) and the trailer, and the Blu-ray edition will have a “digital copy” of the movie, as well.

But wait, there’s more! Repo! The Genetic Opera will also street on January 20th, and Fangoria got the lowdown on what will be on that.

Specs on the standard edition will include:

  • Audio commentary by director Darren Lynn Bousman and actors Bill Moseley, Alexa Vega and Ogre
  • Audio commentary by Bousman, creators Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich and music producer Joseph Bishara
  • “From Stage to Screen” featurette
  • “Legal Assassin—A Repo Man on the Edge” featurette
  • Theatrical trailer
  • And the Blu-ray edition will have:

  • Select scene audio commentary by Bousman and actress Paris Hilton
  • Video sing-alongs
  • Deleted scenes
  • “Zydrate Anatomy—Amber Sweet: Addicted to the Knife” featurette
  • “Chase the Morning—Blind Mag: The Voice of GeneCo” featurette

Trust me, you’re going to want to have the Blu-ray of this baby, it’s an absolutely gorgeous film that’ll look even better in hi-def. Don’t forget, you can still see Repo! in theaters if the Road Tour is coming to your town soon, click here for all the details!
