Caroling Christmas Zombies Sing for Brains in Silent Night, Zombie Night
Principal photography is set to begin in December for director Sean Cain’s new Silent Night, Zombie Night, brought to us by the fine organizations of Velvet Hammer Films and ArsonCuff Entertainment. Included in the cast are Lew Temple (Trailer Park of Terror), Felissa Rose (Return to Sleepaway Camp) and Vernon Wells (Commando).
This Christmas themed gore-fest of zombie fury centers on trapped L.A.P.D. officer Frank Talbot, who also has the misfortune to be cornered by the undead with an ex-partner as well as his soon-to-be ex-wife. Zombie films are as much about the survivors as they are about the undead we love so much; this one seems to be highlighting the awkward situation of a man, his good friend, and the woman who’s boinking both of them. Not to mention the zombie hordes who want to eat them.
We have to be going for a lot of comedy with this, and all I ask is one small favor: Can we have a midget, dressed as an elf for the local mall, turned into a zombie? I mean, please? Why can’t we have nice things?
Also involved are producers Cain, Mary Hahn and Wes Laurie and cinematographer Jim Wright (Border Security USA) with special effects by Tom Devlin (Daredevil) of 1313FX.
