Strand Gets Downloading Nancy
Though I’m not sure just how “horror” this title may be, the early reactions from Johan Renck’s Downloading Nancy at Sundance were enough to make us take note of it then, so what’s the harm in updating you guys on it now?
Variety is reporting that Strand Releasing, which has been pursuing the film since Sundance, finally acquired all domestic rights to Downloading Nancy at this year’s AFM. The film follows a lonely woman (Maria Bello) who turns to the internet to find someone willing to kill her but finds love and fulfillment of her darkest desires instead.
Strand hopes to get the film in front of eyeballs this spring, though whether or not it will get an arthouse run before DVD is unknown right now. Check out the trailer below, and learn more about the film at the official Downloading Nancy site right now!
