Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett are one of the most exciting filmmaking duos out there, continually impressing with gems like You’re Next and The Guest. From this point forward, we’re totally on board with anything they do, and up next they’re bringing us into The Woods. Read on!
Per THR, the duo are heading back to horror with the Lionsgate film, written by Barrett and to be directed by Wingard. All we know, for now, is that it involves a group of college students on a camping trip who discover they are not alone.
Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Keith Calder, and Jessica Wu are the producers. The team members are looking to move fast on this, planning a spring shoot and looking to cast mostly unknowns with the hope of giving the movie maximum scares.
Jason Constantine, Mike Paseornek, and Eda Kowan are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
