Plans Afoot for Third Hostel

You knew it was inevitable, right? Though the movie’s not even out yet, Lionsgate is not one to shun the idea of a franchise no matter how sick and twisted the subject matter is. Gotta love ’em for that!
The latest update on Variety has a story about the burgeoning film business in the Czech Republic, where more and more production outfits are getting work and producing high-quality films as a result, the focal point of which is Eli Roth’s Hostel Part II. Roth is a huge advocate for the country and its crews, as you may know, and said he has every intention of bringing Hostel Part III to the country when it happens.
Though it’s not a done deal, the article does state that it’s “all but signed” and that Roth may return to the torture series after he finishes his next film, the adaptation of Stephen King’s Cell. One has to wonder just how long American audiences are going to keep going back for more horrific torture sequences, especially when Roth has said numerous times that Part II will be even more vicious than the first. I guess we’ll know when it’s released on April 7th. Look for the official word on Hostel Part III come April 8th!
