Happy New Year acolytes! We started the year with a somewhat outer space themed January 2015 Box of Dread featuring items from Aliens, Jason X and other space-themed, though loosely-based, titles. Otherwise, let’s get on with the descriptions of your January 2015 Box of Dread items.
1) Aliens Minimates – Aliens Vs Marines Army – $6
A Diamond Select Toys release! The action-packed sci-fi movie by James Cameron is now a an action-packed line of Minimates! There are a total of 12 individually boxed Minimates variants including dropship pilot Spunkmeyer, Colonial Marine Wierzbowski and civilian consultant Carter Burke, plus nine Xenomorphs in three different varieties! Each Minimate mini-figure stands 2 inches tall with 14 points of articulation, and features interchangeable parts and accessories. Exclusively at comic shops! Designed and Sculpted by Art Asylum! 3) Todd Farmer, writer of Jason X, Autographed behind-the-scenes picture – $10
Todd Farmer is the writer of Jason X, My Bloody Valentine and Drive Angry. He signed each and every picture of him and Nicolas Cage from the set of Drive Angry.
4) Army of Darkness: Ash In Space – From Dynamite Comics – $4
Cullen Bunn, the celebrated writer of Deadpool, will take iconic horror hero Ash Williams somewhere he has never been before: outer space. Longtime franchise fans are invited to strap themselves in for the bold new direction, in a series featuring interior artwork by Army of Darkness staple Larry Watts, as well as cover artwork by industry heavyweights, including Gabriel Hardman, Tim Seeley, Art Adams, Walter Flanagan, and Jay Shaw.
