The nominees for the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced this morning, and this year there’s even less for horror fans to be happy about than usual. Read on to see which TV series landed the only two true genre nominations to be found.

Of course it’s “American Horror Story: Freak Show” that received some love from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association , but we’re very disappointed not to see Sarah Paulson’s name included.  In any event here are the ladies who were honored:

  • JESSICA LANGE (“AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW) – Best Performance By An Actress In A Mini-Series Or Motion Picture Made For Television
  • KATHY BATES (“AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW) – Best Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role In A Series, Mini-Series, Or Motion Picture Made For Television

Congratulations to Jessica, Kathy, and all the other nominees! For the full list and more details, visit the official Golden Globes website.
