Jack Brooks This August!
All right, so our “>review for Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer isn’t exactly glowing, but don’t worry; that doesn’t mean you’re not going to enjoy it when it comes out. And now we know when that’ll be!
Anchor Bay has announced that Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer will open in Chicago only on August 1st, moving on to New York and LA on the 8th, with more cities to follow. In case you’ve not been paying attention, the film is the story of a plumber who is forced to tap into the rage inside himself in order to beat down some monsters he unwittingly unleashes on a job. A DVD is planned for October 7th.
Old school effects, a good sense of humor, and great production values make this sucker one that I would go out of my way to see, but I’m hoping Anchor Bay’s idea of “limited” has expanded since their release of Hatchet so I won’t have to…
