Dracula Untold Composer Hosting Talenthouse Remix Contest; New Featurettes

In celebration of the upcoming release of Dracula Untold, Universal Pictures and Talenthouse are giving DJs, remixers, and producers around the world the opportunity to remix the title track from the film’s official movie score. Along with having his/her song released, the winner will receive a cash prize.

One musician will be selected by Universal Pictures, the Los Angeles-based Talenthouse, and their guest judge, critically acclaimed composer Ramin Djawadi, to have their remix featured as a digital release on Back Lot Music as well as receive $1,500. The winning song will receive exposure across Dracula Untold‘s social channels. In addition to one overall winner, the host will have the option to select additional tracks for possible release.

In addition, the artist with the largest amount of community support will receive $500.

Submit By/Voting Begins: November 3, 2014, at 10:00 AM PT; Voting Ends: November 10, 2014, at 10:00 AM; Winner Announced: November 17, 2014.

Musicians must use the provided stems and should take inspiration from themes of the movie, the movie trailer, and the original story of Dracula. Music can be created in a variety of different styles. As Ramin puts it, “I encourage diversity, creativity, but most importantly, enjoyment in what you create. Have fun, surprise me.”

Dracula Untold stars Luke Evans alongside Sarah Gadon, Samantha Barks, Thor Kristjansson, Art Parkinson, Zach McGowan, and Dominic Cooper. Gary Shore is making his directorial debut.

Look for it in theaters October 17, 2014.

Synopsis
Luke Evans is starring as the most famous of vampires in an origin story that sees a Transylvanian prince risk eternal damnation in order to save his wife and son from a Turkish horde. Barks plays a figure in Eastern European folk tales known as a baba yaga, a beautiful young woman who turns into a savage witch. Kristjansson is Bright Eyes, an Eastern European taken as a slave as a young boy and now a vicious assassin in the Ottoman Army. Parkinson portrays Dracula’s son, named Ingeras.
