Kim Ok-Bin joins cast of ThirstLooks like Oldboy and Lady Vengeance director Park Chan-Wook’s search for a leading lady for his upcoming vampire film, now being called Thirst has finally come to an end…
We first mentioned this a few days back (“Park Chan Wook Needs Women!” – February 2008), that since Thirst will have multiple scene of sexual interaction and nudity, Park was having difficulty finding a woman who would be willing to do such things on camera.

Well, he’s found one in the form of Arang and Dasepo Naughty Girls star Kim Ok-bin according to KFC Cinema today. Thirst tells of a well-respected priest (The Host’s Song Kang-ho) who becomes a vampire after a failed medical experiment. He begins down a path of depravity with a new taste for flesh and blood involving the wife of his best friend, who will be played by Kim.

A nine-month shooting schedule is planned for Thirst, so don’t expect to see anything for a while, with a release date that will likely be sometime in 2009. Here’s hoping it’s worth the wait!
