New ‘Don’t Move’ Trailer Unleashes Giant Spider Terror; James Murray Talks the Film in Exclusive Interview

EXCLUSIVE: The marketing campaign for Don’t Move is officially kicking into high gear.
Following the debut of the film’s killer first poster, horror fans can now check out the official trailer for the upcoming indie creature feature, giving us our best look yet at the giant mutated spider lurking at the center of the nightmare.
To coincide with the trailer launch, the folks over at Scaredycast have also released an in-depth interview with James Murray, where he discusses adapting the novel for the screen, bringing the giant spider to life, and the long journey from page to the big screen.
In the film, a giant, mutated spider traps a group of strangers in its web-covered lair, forcing them into a desperate fight for survival where making the wrong move could be their last.
Don’t Move stars Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass, Nikita), Russell “Russ” Vitale, Rob Riggle (The Hangover), Tom Cavanagh (The Flash), Hunter King (The Young and the Restless), and Joseph Lee Anderson (Young Rock), with special appearances by T-Pain, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Matt Biedel (Narcos: Mexico).
Directed by Maclain Nelson (The Saratov Approach, Once I Was a Beehive), Don’t Move is based on the bestselling novel by James “Murr” Murray (Impractical Jokers) and Darren Wearmouth, who also penned the screenplay together.
The trailer leans hard into the film’s claustrophobic premise, teasing a tense survival story as the enormous creature stalks its victims through a labyrinth of webs. Better yet, it finally gives us a proper look at the monster itself, promising a healthy mix of creature-feature thrills and edge-of-your-seat suspense.
Fans will also have two chances to catch the film before its nationwide release, with advance screenings scheduled for September 8 in Kansas City and September 9 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. Both events will feature cast appearances, Q&A sessions, red carpet photo opportunities, and early screenings.
Don’t Move crawls into theaters on September 11.
