First Host 2 Details Revealed
Though it’s been discussed since before production had even finished on the first film, finally a few very small details have been revealed about The Host 2, the follow up to Bong Joon-Ho’s 2006 monster epic.
Sci Fi Japan have learned via a recent interview with producer Choi Yong-bae that comic book artist Kang Full is currently working on the script for The Host 2. Choi’s production house, Chungeorahm, are producing two live-action adaptations of Full’s previous work, The Boy-Meets-Girl Comic and 26 Years, which is what lead to Full’s ideas for The Host 2 intriguing them enough to give him the gig.
So what was revealed? Only that the script does take place somewhere in Korea and that it’s set in 2003. Significant, that last bit, since the first film was set in 2006. I guess it only makes sense considering how The Host ended, though, to make it a prequel.
Hopefully we’ll have some more details on The Host 2 for you very soon so stick around!
