The Rules Are Simple in New ‘SAW: Genesis’ Gameplay Overview Trailer
A new trailer for SAW: Genesis has arrived, and this time it’s all about the rules.
Bloober Team has released a game features overview video for the upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer horror experience, offering a closer look at the systems driving its deadly cat-and-mouse gameplay.
“The rules are simple…” teases the official description. “Watch our game features overview video for SAW: Genesis and discover the systems behind our asymmetrical horror experience.”
The new footage dives deeper into the strategic gameplay available to the Judge, while also showing what it takes for the Accused to survive by working together as a team. According to the developers, players will need to master cooperation, strategy, and quick decision-making if they hope to escape the game’s brutal trials.
Announced earlier this month, SAW: Genesis is based on the hit horror franchise created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell. The original reveal trailer featured Jigsaw narrating with his trademark reflections on sacrifice and death as players got a glimpse of the game’s traps, gore, and desperate victims. Oh yes, there will be blood.
“The hour of judgement is upon you. Step into a brutal 3v1 multiplayer experience where one player becomes the Judge, a precursor to Jigsaw, and three others fight to survive as the Accused. Manipulate the trial from the shadows or work together to escape a deadly maze of traps, pressure, and impossible choices.
“Set in the grim aftermath of World War I, SAW: Genesis delivers short, intense matches, oppressive atmosphere, and a twisted vision of redemption through pain and sacrifice.”
The game is co-developed by Anshar Studios and Broken Mirror Games and published by Bloober Team.
You can now wishlist the game through Steam. No release date has been announced.
