What’s More Terrifying Than ‘Backrooms’? The McDonald’s Backrooms [Watch]
Kane Parsons‘ Backrooms movie is expected to be a huge hit in theaters this weekend. The filmmaker grew a massive following with his YouTube series centered around the endless, yellow maze of hallways and empty rooms, and the fans that grew up with it are showing up. That popularity has caught the eye of everyone, including an unexpected source…McDonald’s.
Today, the fast-food joint posted a video on X with the caption, “chat, did I just noclip?” In it, we’re taken through a McDonald’s version of the Backrooms. A puke-yellow maze full of McDonald’s signs, playroom chairs, and the ball-pit from hell. The horror.
Honestly, a McDonald’s Backrooms is far more terrifying to me than whatever Parsons has planned for us. Anyone who has ever spent one second in the McDonald’s playroom would probably agree. The dim lighting. The zombified appearance of dead inside employees. Everything covered in a strange stickiness. I shudder to think of it.
