‘Mortal Kombat II’ Image Pits Liu Kang Against Kung Lao
Mortal Kombat II kicks into theaters soon, and ScreenRant has a brand new image from the film that should get fans ready to have their souls stolen.
In the image, Liu Kang (Ludi Lin) is in battle against an undead Kung Lao (Max Huang), the backdrop depicting a blood-red portal. Having seen it, that’s one battle I know you all are going to love.
Mortal Kombat II follows “the fan favorite champions — now joined by Johnny Cage (Karl Urban) — as they are pitted against one another in the ultimate battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford) that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.”
Simon McQuoid returns to direct from a script written by Jeremy Slater (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire).
The film also stars Jessica McNamee, Joe Taslim, Hiroyuki Sanada, Adeline Rudolph, Tati Gabrielle, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, and CJ Bloomfield.
Mortal Kombat II brings the fatalities to theaters on May 8th.
