‘Mortal Kombat II’ Clip Pits Johnny Cage Against Kitana
Yesterday, we shared the first clip from Mortal Kombat II, featuring one of Scorpion’s iconic lines from the video game: “Get over here!”
Now, a new clip shows Kitana (Adeline Rudolph) nearly finishing Johnny Cage (Karl Urban) in their introductory fight.
Mortal Kombat II follows “the fan favorite champions — now joined by Johnny Cage (Urban) himself — as they are pitted against one another in the ultimate battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford) that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.”
Simon McQuoid returns to direct from a script written by Jeremy Slater (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire).
The film also stars Ludi Lin, Jessica McNamee, Joe Taslim, Hiroyuki Sanada, Adeline Rudolph, Tati Gabrielle, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, and CJ Bloomfield.
Tickers are on sale now for the tournament that begins in theaters on May 8.
