‘Tumor’ Casts Up and Loses Grasp on Reality
The psychological thriller Tumor has rounded out its cast, starring Sam Rockwell and Maisy Stella, both previously announced at last year’s AFM.
Chris Messina (Devil, Air), Michael Peña (The Vatican Tapes, Fantasy Island), Esai Morales (Mission: Impossible), and Gigi Zumbado (The Lincoln Lawyer) will join Rockwell and Stella in the psychological thriller, which has now wrapped production in Los Angeles, Deadline reports.
Tumor delves into the story of a low-level Los Angeles private investigator (Rockwell). When the daughter (Stella) of a wealthy businessman (Morales) goes missing, he embarks on a mission into the world of L.A.’s young, privileged elite to track her down. Wildly out of his depth and battling the debilitating symptoms of a late-stage brain tumor, his grasp on reality becomes increasingly precarious. As the unlikely duo sets out on the run, old memories blur with the present, dredging up dark secrets from his past.
The film marks writer-director Will Bridges’ follow-up to the Apple sci-fi romance All of You, starring Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots.
