‘Victorian Psycho’: Maika Monroe Channels ‘American Psycho’ This September

Horror maven Maika Monroe (It Follows, Longlegs, Watcher) will next channel Patrick Bateman in American Psycho with Victorian Psycho, which Dread Central learned will hit theaters September 25, 2026, via Bleeker Street.
Set in Victorian England, Victorian Psycho follows an eccentric governess who arrives at a remote gothic manor, where strange happenings stir suspicion that she’s not what she seems.
Directed by Zachary Wigon, the pic is based on Virginia Feito’s novel of the same name, with Feito adapting her own work.
Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho), Jason Isaacs (A Cure for Wellness, “White Lotus”), and Jacobi Jupe (The Exorcist) also star.
Victorian Psycho is produced by Dan Kagan (Longlegs) under his Traffic banner as well as Sebastien Raybaud (Greenland: Migration) for Anton and Wigon, in association with Anonymous Content.
“Zach’s vision is thrilling, and we know every frame will be shocking, unique, and for lack of a better word, cutting” said Kent Sanderson, CEO at Bleecker Street.
