‘Watcher’ Director Gains a Possessed Limb in ‘Bad Hand’!

Searchlight Pictures has set Watcher director Chloe Okuno to helm Bad Hand from a script by Black Christmas scribe April Wolfe, reports Deadline.
Bad Hand follows a mild-mannered kindergarten teacher who, a week before her wedding, is the victim of a hit and run. In the wake of the accident, she discovers to her horror that the trauma has caused her right hand to act with a mind of its own, bent on bloody revenge.
The film obviously calls to mind Idle Hands, which also harkens back to Evil Dead II and The Beast with Five Fingers before that.
Okuno, who directed a segment of my horror anthology V/H/S/94, most recently wrapped Brides for Neon, which she wrote and directed, starring Olivia Cooke. She previously wrote and directed Watcher, starring Maika Monroe.
Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman, and Alison Small will produce for Brownstone Productions.
Watch Okuno’s excellent short film Slut, which screened at festivals worldwide and earned audience and jury awards.
