Netflix’s decade-long series “Stranger Things” came to its epic conclusion recently (review), leaving us all wondering if there’s any room left for more stories in the future. Thankfully, Netflix is several steps ahead of us, having announced Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an animated series arriving this April. Even more exciting? We’ve learned that the first two episodes will play in theaters ahead of the series launch!

On April 18th, you can watch the first two episodes of Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 on the big screen ahead of the series arriving on Netflix April 23rd. So, get ready to see Hawkins in a bigger (and more colorful) light than ever before. See the full list of participating AMC theaters.

Attendees will receive an exclusive collectible while supplies last. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, March 18th, at 8am PT.

Tales From ’85 is set in the Stranger Things universe between Seasons 2 and 3 and features characters fans already know and love — but with a twist:

“The year is 1985, it’s a freezing winter in Hawkins, and our heroes are about to embark on an epic journey where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.”

The animated series hails from showrunner Eric Robles and Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer.

The voice cast includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Benjamin Plessala as Will, Brett Gipson as Hopper, Jeremy Jordan as Steve, as well as Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo and Lou Diamond Phillips.
