Killer Chimp Horror ‘Primate’ Slashes Onto Paramount+ March 25

After crushing at the box office, Paramount’s killer chimp slasher Primate will stream on Paramount+ this coming March 25, 2026.

In the film, Lucy’s tropical island homecoming was supposed to be beaches and best friends—not a fight for her life. When her family’s exceptionally clever chimp spirals into a savage, rabid frenzy, the night explodes into terrifying chaos. With her father away and no help coming, paradise becomes a prison as Lucy and her friends fight to survive a deadly predator they once trusted.

Fans of Jordan Peele’s Nope know just how terrifying Primate is, and having it hail from filmmaker Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, Strangers: Prey at Night) only made it better. In fact, Dread Central’s Matthew Jackson reviewed Primate, writing that Roberts’ “love letter to [Stephen King’s] Cujo is a blast.”

Johnny Sequoyah, Jessica Alexander, Troy Kotsur, Victoria Wyant, Gia Hunter, Benjamin Cheng, Charlie Mann, and Tienne Simon star in the film.
