It’s clear to me now that Mortal Kombat II understood the assignment, upping the ante in every way, and bringing the classic horror-tinged video game to life perfectly.
I want to bask in the perfect image of Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, a washed-up action star sitting alone at a convention booth.
The colors, the landscapes, the set design, the effects. It’s all a wild trip that feels authentic to the spirit of the game, and I cannot wait until May 8.
