‘Scary Movie 6’ Trailer Perfectly Paired With ‘Scream 7’ Next Friday!
Four years after Wes Craven’s Scream became a cultural phenomenon, Marlon, Shawn, and
Keenen Ivory Wayans collaborated on the perfect lampoon of the initial trilogy with Scary Movie, which would become its own franchise.
With Scream back in the spotlight and the seventh film hitting theaters next weekend, the Wayans are taking fresh aim with a new Scary Movie sequel.
Appearing on a podcast this week, Keenen Ivory Wayans revealed that the first trailer for Scary Movie 6 will (comically) be attached to Scream 7 next weekend.
The movie doesn’t come out until June 12, and they’re already being funny.
All we know so far is that they’re harpooning Terrifier 3.
Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Keenen Ivory Wayans, the architects of the franchise, returned to write the script alongside longtime collaborator Rick Alvarez, who is also producing.
The cast is massive, bringing back Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Regina Hall, Anna Faris, Lochlyn Monroe, Dave Sheridan, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott and Jon Abrahams, with newly added roles for Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner, and more.
