‘Predator: Badlands’ Scores Hulu’s Biggest Film Premiere Since ‘Prey’ With Nearly 9M Global Views

20th Century Studios’ Dan Trachtenberg directed Predator: Badlands has become the No. 1 film premiere on Hulu since the director’s 2022 movie Prey, debuting to nearly 9M views around the world in its first five days on the service, reports Deadline.

Last fall, Predator: Badlands opened to a record for the franchise with $40M domestic and $80M global, and finaled at a record as well for the 39-year-old series with $184.5M worldwide. The entire Predator franchise has grossed over $925M at the worldwide box office.

Hulu reports that audiences have streamed more than 300M hours of the Predator franchise on Disney+ and Hulu worldwide. The service just added 15 new videos in the Predator Creators Collection on Disney+ and Hulu.

Prey, which premiered on Aug. 5, 2022, is Hulu’s most-watched movie premiere per the streaming service. Hulu never reported figures for that pic’s weekend debut.

Set in the future on a remote planet, a young Predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.

I guess we should expect more Predator films in the future?
