‘Vampires of the Velvet Lounge’: Watch the Cheesy, Sexy, and Action-Packed Trailer Starring Mena Suvari and Stephen Dorff!
Strand Releasing announced today the limited theatrical release of Vampires of the Velvet Lounge, directed by Adam Sherman and starring Mena Suvari (The Accursed, Day of the Dead), Dichen Lachman (Bled), Stephen Dorff (Leatherface, Blade), and India Eisley (Look Away).
Along with the announcement comes a bonkers trailer that throws things back to the ’90s, complete with leather-clad cheesiness, VFX, sex, and nonstop action. Looks good to me!
“Deep in the American South, a back alley absinthe bar harbors a deadly secret: Countess Elizabeth Báthory and her glamorous coven of vampires keep their killer instincts sharp by preying on lonely singles through dating apps, seducing and slaughtering to preserve their youth.
“But when Elizabeth swipes right on the wrong profiles—a cunning undercover vampire hunter and a band of emotionally stunted bros—the hunt spirals into hilariously horrifying chaos.
“Blood flies, fangs pierce flesh, and the bar erupts into a glitter-soaked, green fairy-winged, fang-filled fever dream of grindhouse gore, terrible decisions, and fashionably fatal carnage.”
Vampires of the Velvet Lounge is the latest film from award-winning director/writer/producer Adam Sherman (Wristcutters: A Love Story, Happiness Runs, Crazy Eyes). It also stars Tom Berenger, Rosa Salazar, and Tyrese Gibson.
Producers are Adam Sherman, Marcus Englefield, and George Lee for Storyoscopic Films (Worth the Wait), with Noémi Santo co-producing for Adam Sherman Film.
Strand Releasing will open the horror film exclusively in theaters on Friday, March 20th, in select markets including New York and Los Angeles.
