‘Carrie’: Mike Flanagan to Drench Fans in Blood This October?!

Mike Flanagan wrapped his “bold and timely reimagining” of Stephen King’s 1974 debut novel, Carrie, this past October, but when will it stream on Amazon’s Prime Video?
Co-star Katee Sackhoff broke the news at Fan Expo Vancouver, where she told The Direct that Amazon plans to release the series this coming fall.
“Back to Mike Flanagan, yeah… the Flanniverse… October of 2026, Carrie comes out on Amazon. You guys are in for a treat. It’s very good. It’s very good.”
Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie White in the eight-episode series as a misfit high-schooler who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public high school, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.
Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Thalia Dudek, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Joel Oulette, Amber Midthunder, and Matthew Lillard round out the cast.
Recurring guest stars include Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, Katee Sackhoff, Rahul Kohli, Crystal Balint, Danielle Klaudt, Heather Graham, Tim Bagley, Tahmoh Penikett, Mapuana Makia, Naika Toussaint, Delainey Hayles, Cassandra Naud, and Rowan Danielle.
Flanagan serves as writer and showrunner in addition to directing select episodes. Amazon MGM Studios produces.
