‘Toxic Avenger’ Reboot and ‘Crusaders’ Cartoon Get Action Figures [Toy Fair]
More craziness from the ongoing New York Toy Fair with Trick or Treat Studios sharing a handful of new Toxic Avenger action figures.
First, they share two prototypes from their Toxic Crusaders line, which includes both “Melvin” and “Yvonne.”
Toxic Crusaders premiered in 1991 as an animated children’s series based on Troma’s The Toxic Avenger, following Toxie and a team of mutated heroes battling pollution in Tromaville, and was supported by a Playmates Toys action figure line and additional tie-in merchandise. Now, Trick or Treat Studios brings them to plastic form as well.
Also revealed on the show floor, Toxie from the brand new The Toxic Avenger reboot starring Peter Dinklage as Winston Gooze, a janitor who becomes a mutated vigilante after a toxic accident and fights corporate corruption in Tromaville. The figure comes with a punk bracelet. Expected in 2027.
