‘Creepshow’ Steps Out of the Crypt in 5″ Figure Form [Toy Fair]

The New York Toy Fair is underway, and Dread Central is all over all of the new horror-related action figures and other goodies revealed at the annual event.
Trick or Treat Studios has been teasing us with all of the cool shit coming in the next few years, but this one is a nuclear bomb. The toy company is bringing us their very first Creepshow line, immortalizing the iconic George A. Romero–Stephen King collab in plastic form!
The first line consists of a handful of 5″ figures from the popular anthology.
- Bedelia & Nathan Grantham – “Father’s Day”
- Jordy Verrill – “The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill”
- The Crate Creature (Fluffy) – “The Crate”
- Harry Wentworth & Richard Vickers – “Something to Tide You Over.”
Creepshow (1982) consists of a handful of segments framed by a wraparound story and directed by George A. Romero: “Father’s Day,” in which a murdered patriarch returns from the grave during a family gathering; “The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill,” which follows a farmer who encounters a meteorite that causes plant life to overtake his body; “Something to Tide You Over,” about a man who buries his unfaithful wife and her lover on the beach as the tide rises; “The Crate,” in which a university professor discovers a creature in a shipping crate beneath a campus stairwell; and “They’re Creeping Up on You,” which centers on a businessman whose apartment becomes infested with cockroaches.
