Blue Fox Cleans Up Crime Scenes With ‘Dead Janitors Club’

Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to Dead Janitors Club, the dark comedy based on Jeff Klima’s memoir The Dead Janitors Club: Pathetically True Tales of a Crime Scene Cleanup King, reports Deadline.
Directed by Kenny Gage and Devon Downs (Cynthia), the film is a screen adaptation of Klima’s true story, drawn from his experience working as a crime scene cleaner in Los Angeles.
The film stars Jake Busey (Stranger Things, The Frighteners) as Dirk, a corrupt cop who partners with an eager, broke assistant named Jeff Klima, played by Felix Merback (Blood Star).
The cast also includes Brianna Gage (Raze), Jake Holley (Wake), Ginger Lynn Allen (The Devil’s Rejects), and Gary Busey (The Buddy Holly Story) as George, a homeless man with a habit of marking his territory.
Dead Janitors Club is produced by Robert Rhine, who acquired the underlying rights to the book. Rhine produced the film alongside both directors.
“Dead Janitors Club delivers a killer hook, sharp characters, and nonstop momentum—everything international buyers are looking for right now,” Blue Fox Entertainment President Lisa Gutberlet said in a statement.
Blue Fox will launch international sales on the film at the European Film Market and will release the film in the US and CA later this year.
