‘Blood Rush’: Billy Zane and Danielle Bisutti to Play Vampires Who Suck the Blood Out of the American Dream

Here’s a wild project heading to the EFM this weekend that’s a mix of old and new blood.
Deadline reports on the horror-comedy Blood Rush, set in 1881 during the American Western Frontier gold rush. The story follows Lucifer’s children, Lilith and Aamon, the original vampires who fly to the Americas to suck the living hope from the common folk’s blood, which has been revived by the promise of the American Dream.
The film stars Billy Zane (Demon Knight) as Aamon and Danielle Bisutti (Curse of Chucky, Insidious: Chapter 2) as Lilith.
The synopsis continues: But plans to restore their Vampiric reign are thwarted when an old Familiar shows up, threatening to reveal their true nature if only his complicated feelings for The Vamps don’t bloody the waters.
That old Familiar? Henry Ian Cusick (Lost, Half Life) stars as Van Helsing!
The cast also includes William McNamara (Copycat), Christina Moore (90210), Colin Cunningham (Falling Skies), Ken Davitian (Borat), and Robert Craighead (Shirley/Miss Governor).
Bisutti has also directed the film alongside her co-director, Stefan Colson.
Principal photography has just wrapped in Los Angeles.
