Star Lauren LaVera Gives Update on ‘Terrifier 4’ Script: “It’ll Be a Surprise”
Fans of Damien Leone‘s Terrifier franchise have been waiting with baited breath to learn details about Terrifier 4, the upcoming conclusion to the murderous saga of Art the Clown. In an interview with Den of Geek, star/final girl Lauren LaVera gave an update. Though, probably not the one fans are hoping for.
“I haven’t read any of the script yet,” Said LaVera. “I don’t think Damien’s even done writing it as of right now. I’m sure he’s close to done based off things he has texted me and what he’s been telling the press, but no, he’s kept it completely under wraps from David, from myself, from all of the other cast and crew. So it’ll be a surprise.”
That’s a bummer. But hey, all good things come to those who wait. Still, LaVera did offer some intriguing comments as to what she wants out of the final film.
“I want Jonathan to be alive; I want Gabbie to be saved; and I want some sort of retribution for Sienna, however that will look. I think our girl’s been through enough and she deserves a win, whatever it will look like for her. Whether or not she survives, I don’t know, but I think she deserves a win.”
Amen, sister.
LaVera’s character has taken quite the thrashing, both mentally and physically, during the Terrifier films. She first showed up in Terrifier 2, taking on the mantle of the franchise’s hero, and has faced almost nothing but pain since. I guess that’s what happens when you face off against a sadistic, supernatural killer clown.
The Terrifier films gained popularity for their brutal violence, recalling the gore of old-school grindhouse movies. With each sequel, you can expect to walk away with at least one horrific kill seared into your brain. And for Sienna to leave with more than a few new scars.
So, it’s fair to say that Terrifier‘s final girl has more than earned a win. But will she get it? We’ll have to wait and see. Here’s hoping that LaVera gets her wish.
