New Leadership at Dread Central: The Strangers Take Over Editorial Operations

Dear Dread Central readers,
My name is Scarecrow, and effective immediately, I am stepping into the role of Editor-in-Chief of Dread Central. You may know me as the axe-wielding lead killer from The Strangers Trilogy. What you may not know is that I have a deep and lifelong passion for horror news, criticism, and editorial leadership.
For years, I have followed Dread Central closely. I admire its commitment to fear, its respect for legacy, and its willingness to stay when others would leave. That is why, effective immediately, I am stepping into the role of Editor-in-Chief of Dread Central. Also joining the team are Dollface and Pin-Up Girl, but more on that below.
First, it’s important that I address unfounded reports that may be causing alarm. Rumors of a hostile takeover of the publication have been gravely exaggerated. This temporary, although transition has been orderly and is fully supported by the previous administration, in official partnership with Lionsgate. They have taken a sudden leave of absence for an indefinite period of time. They are fine. Their phones are off. They are on… vacation. Please do not look for them, and respect their wishes for peace and privacy at this time.
With that said, as always, I will not acting alone. Joining me in guiding Dread Central forward are my trusted colleagues and longtime collaborators Dollface andPin-Up Girl. With nearly two decades of horror indistry experience, who better to join me on this journey than these extraordinary talents.
Dollface will serve as Associate Editor. In her own words, Dollface loves Dread. In facrt, it’s one of her favorite things in the whole wide world. When she is not knocking on doors, she is sharpening her machete and ensuring every story cuts deep.
Pin-Up Girl will also serve as an Associate Editor. Pin-Up Girl understands presentation. Looks matter. First impressions matter. Last impressions matter more. She looks forward to keeping the community informed about dreadful happenings in and around Venus, Oregon.
Under our care your new editors, Dread Central will continue its long tradition of spreading fear, bloodshed, and of course dread to our dead-icated audience of readers.
The Strangers – Chapter 3 opens exclusively in theaters this Friday, February 6. Get your tickets here.
We look forward to seeing you all… very soon.
xoxo,
Scarecrow
