Neve Campbell Teases Shock Comebacks in ‘Scream 7’

It’s not Scream unless it remains canon and goes complete Scooby-Doo with its cast.
There are always teases of characters returning (we’re still in shock over the shocking return of Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis in the fifth Scream), and fans love scrambling to try and guess who they might see in each and every sequel.
With Scream 7 just weeks away, franchise star Neve Campbell is confirming fans can be prepared for “unexpected” returns.
“There’s been rumor of certain people coming back who are unexpected, and that certainly happens,” Campbell tells Extra.
Who do you think it will be?
She continues, “I’m so grateful for Sidney and to be a part of the franchise for this long, to be a part of a job that’s gone for 30 years and is something that fans really love. I think I’m as excited to give it to the fans as I think they are. I hope they are.”
When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.
Kevin Williamson directs from a script he co-wrote with Guy Busick.
Isabel May, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Timothy Simons, and Mark Consuelos also star.
Scream 7 arrives in theaters on February 27, 2026.
