Shudder’s ‘Dolly’ Trailer Has All the French Horror and ‘Texas Chain Saw’ Vibes!

We now have the official trailer for Shudder’s slasher Dolly, which looks like my kinda film.

Described as a daring blend of New French Extremity and 1970s American horror, the film stars Southbound‘s Fabianne Therese and Seann William Scott (The Wrath of Becky, Bloodline) in what looks like an homage to Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

The killer’s design looks great, and it promises a whole lotta gore.

In the film, “a young woman, Macy, fights for survival after being abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise Macy as their child.”

Rod Blackhurst (Night Swim) directs the film that’s based on their 2022 short Babygirl.

Ethan Suplee (Mallrats) and pro wrestler Max the Impaler also star.

The shot-on-Super-16mm film folk horror will open in limited theaters on March 6, 2026.
