Watch Sam Raimi Throw Blood in Rachel McAdams’ Face on the Set of ‘Send Help’!

The great Sam Raimi (Evil Dead series, Drag Me to Hell) has teamed with Freddy vs. Jason and Friday the 13th (2009) writers Damian Shannon & Mark Swift on his latest horror offering, Send Help, which crash lands into theaters on January 30th.
In the film, two colleagues (Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien) find themselves stranded on a deserted island after they are the only survivors of a plane crash. They must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it is an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.
Send Help looks like an absolute blast, but just how bloody does it get? Well, 20th Century Studios shares this awesome BTS featurette that takes us to the set where we can quite literally watch Raimi throw blood into McAdams’ face.
“It’s a rite of passage for an actor to have Sam Raimi throw blood in your face,” McAdams giddily says.
“We’re going to shoot you with blood…and then snot,” Raimi says on set before explaining to the camera with a maniacal laugh: “It’s just the job I feel I have to do because no one does it as well as me.”
Send Help is rated “R” for “strong/bloody violence and language.”
No one does it like Sam Raimi…
