Sam Raimi’s ‘Send Help’ Goes Hard With “R” Rating!

We were all so scared when Disney bought Fox, and yet they’ve done us pretty well, especially considering the Predator and Alien franchises, and even Ready or Not.

Next up from 20th Century Studios is Send Help, the latest horror entry from Sam Raimi that’s landing into theaters at the end of the month.

The trailers have been excellent, teasing an island-set battle between boss and his employee that turns ever so violent. The question was, just how far would this thriller go?

We have somewhat of an answer in the official MPA rating, which gives it an “R” for “strong/bloody violence and language.”

Now we’re talking!

Send Help is a cathartic thriller in which a verbally abused worker (played by Rachel McAdams) turns the tables on her boss and torments him on an island. It looks really, really fun.

Interestingly,  this will be Raimi’s first R-rating since The Gift way back in 2000!

In the film…

“When coworkers Linda and Bradley are the sole survivors of a devastating plane crash, they find themselves stranded on a remote island. What begins as a desperate bid for survival quickly turns into an unsettling battle of wills, wits, and past grievances in this twisted mix of horror and humor.”

Send Help on January 30, 2026.
