UK Trailer for Folk Horror 'Rabbit Trap' Converses With a Fairy

Dread Central has the official trailer for Rabbit Trap, a new folk horror mystery that draws deeply on sound, landscape, and ancient myth, and will be released in UK cinemas at the end of this month.

Starring Dev Patel and Rosy McEwen, the film is set in 1976 and follows married musicians Daphne and Darcy Davenport, who retreat to the Welsh countryside to finish a new record.

While making field recordings in the surrounding ancient woodlands, Darcy captures a forbidden sound not meant for human ears, an act that brings a strange boy to their doorstep and pulls them into an enigmatic realm where the boundaries between reality, folklore, and myth begin to blur.

Mary Beth called the film “a satisfying folk horror set to a psychedelic soundscape” when she reviewed the film out of Sundance.

Rabbit Trap hails internationally from Universal, Focus, and Picture House and will be in UK cinemas on January 30.
