‘Ghostbusters II’ – The River of Slime Turned Into a 5-Hour Ambience Video

Here’s a little something fun to brighten your Monday… unless it turns sour and makes you incredibly angry.
Cinematic ambience specialists Liminal Visions have created an incredible, full-blown 5-hour-long video of mood slime slowly flowing beneath New York City!
For ectoplasm that’s supposed to affect your mood, this video is exceptionally relaxing.
Ghostbusters News, who shared the video, notes that visually, the river looks exactly as you remember it, with the setting lifted directly from the film, but it’s the added sound design that truly sells it. “Low industrial hums, distant echoes, and subtle supernatural effects create an environment that feels vast, damp, and ominous, as slime churns through the city’s underbelly.”
The video was hilariously timed to the events in Ghostbusters II, with the site noting: “As the slime continues to flow, it’s hard not to picture it slowly making its way toward the Manhattan Museum of Art, quietly fueling the growing power of Vigo the Carpathian while the clock ticks as midnight nears. Set against the backdrop of New Year’s Eve, circa 1989, and with today landing on December 31, the timing of this release couldn’t feel more perfect.”
Enjoy, but don’t let it upset you…
