“The Last of Us” Third Season Filming; Recasts Firefly Manny Alvarez

In case you were wondering, HBO has actually ordered a third season of “The Last of Us” and filming is getting underway.
Unfortunately, Danny Ramirez will not be returning, reports TheWrap.
After co-starring in Season 2 opposite Katilyn Dever as a Firefly in Season 2, the actor has had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts, the site reports. He appeared in four episodes as Manny Alvarez.
Ramirez has been blowing up as of late, appearing as Joaquin Torres in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, then taking Sam Wilson’s mantle as Falcon in Captain America: Brave New World, as noted by Gizmodo.
In the HBO smash-hit adaptation of the popular video game, after a global pandemic destroys civilization, a hardened survivor takes charge of a 14-year-old girl who may be humanity’s last hope.
Season 3 will likely premiere in 2027.
