Catherine Corcoran has made a name for herself in the horror space thanks to an unforgettable turn in the Terrifier franchise. Since then, she has steadily acted in genre fare, and now she’s gearing up to make her mark behind the scenes with her new production company, FareStream Pictures.

Deadline reveals that Corcoran’s newly minted company will focus on “bold, emotionally charged storytelling in film and television that spotlights complex women and underrepresented voices.”

Though Corcoran just broke the news about her production company, she’s already hard at work on a multitude of projects through the label. Among the company’s first efforts is an adaptation of the William R. Perry novel By His Hand. Perry is handling writing duties for the adaptation, with Scout Taylor-Compton set to direct.

Additionally, FareStream Pictures is developing a live-action series, Hera, based on the Greek myth. Corcoran is the series creator and lead writer on that project.

The production house also has several additional projects in various stages of development. Corcoran tells Deadline that the outfit will place a strong emphasis on safe sets, taking care to employ intimacy coordinators when called for. Additionally, she reveals that FareStream will focus on transparent accounting practices, including profit participation and tracked backend reporting for collaborators.
