Upcoming Third Chapter in the ‘Orphan’ Series Has Officially Commenced Production

Following the success of William Brent Bell’s delightfully campy prequel, Orphan: First Kill, Paramount greenlit a third series installment. The news of the threequel broke just about a year ago, but all has been quiet since. Until now. The Orphan: First Kill Instagram account recently shared an update featuring a clapperboard from the set of the third film, signaling that production is officially underway and that more Orphan is coming our way soon!
The latest chapter is lensing in Budapest, Hungary. As per Max Blizz, the next installment will be dubbed Orphans.
Brent Bell will be back to direct the picture, with Orphan: First Kill scribe David Coggeshall returning to write the script.

Isabelle Fuhrman is also on board to return as the homicidal Esther. Fuhrman first played the role of an adult woman with a growth hormone deficiency as a child actor in 2009. She returned for First Kill in 2022 with the use of trick photography and a body double for wide shots. Both films see Esther posing as an orphan with deadly consequences ensuing.
Early reports suggest that the latest installment will catch up with a con artist (presumably Esther) who infiltrates a European family only to risk having their secret exposed.
No word at this point on a targeted release date, but there’s speculation that the film will likely land in theaters in late 2026. Rest assured that we will update you as we learn more about this project. In the meantime, you can whet your appetite with the trailer for Orphan: First Kill in the player below.
