Celebrate Halloween With A 36-Hour Found Footage Marathon, Courtesy of the Unnamed Fooage Festival

Originally held in place of an in-person fest, the Unnamed Footage Festival’s virtual edition, aka UFF24HR, was designed to be a virtual festival that still maintained the community atmosphere of an in-person festival without audiences being in the same theatre lobby. Since that initial run, which ended up lasting just shy of 40 hours, the UFF24HR has only grown.

Without exaggeration, this is going to be UFF’s biggest virtual event yet.

Keeping with the ritual of a network TV station’s Saturday morning block, UFF24HR will operate under the alias U.F.F. – TV 24 and kick things off with an hour-long pre-show at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET, before diving into the immense runtime of the festival itself.

Starting at 12 PM PT/3 PM ET, this year’s special is themed like a local TV station’s Halloween Special, complete with original programming, hosted by a cast of Forgotten Format characters: UFFy, Uncle Rewind, Lil Ray Ray, and Penny Verite.

While UFF organizers highly recommend audiences to watch all 36 hours, some of the lineup highlights include the World Premiere of Ritual Video’s (Tom Hughes) found footage feature FOXHOLLOW and short SKY IS BLUE, WNUF Halloween Special spin off TRICK OR TREAT WITH REED RICHMOND, and encore screening of Alex Hera’s award winning drama/mystery WHAT I REMEMBER, and mysterious VHS WHITEFACE.

Approximate showtimes of everything can be found in the accompanying U.F.F. – TV 24 Guide (included below), which UFF organizers encourage attendees to print and keep on hand. Moral support to keep attendees company through a 36-hour stream can be found on the UFF Discord.
