‘Halloween’ Game: See Photos of Original Michael Myers Nick Castle on Set With a Knife!

Halloween

As you may have heard, the indie developer IllFonic is in active development on a video game adaptation of John Carpenter’s Halloween. The asymmetrical horror game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, allowing players to control either Michael Myers or a civilian character.

The game doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but it is slated for launch at some point in 2026. IllFonic (the same developer that brought you Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game and Friday the 13th: The Game) has been keeping fans in the loop regarding their progress on this exciting project, chronicling periodic updates on their website. They recently shared a series of behind-the-scenes developments, including some images featuring actor Nick Castle in a motion capture suit. That’s right, Castle is reprising the Michael Myers role for the upcoming game, ensuring that the character’s movements look and feel just like they did in the 1978 original that started it all!

Castle is working alongside stuntman and actor TJ Storm on the project. Storm previously worked on motion capture sequences for Tron: LegacyDeadpool, and other films. The pair seems to get along famously. That much is apparent from some of the behind-the-scenes images IllFonic shared on the game’s official website. You can see exactly what we’re talking about below.

IllFonic took a moment to chat with Castle while he was on hand. The actor expressed a reverence for the role and answered a handful of questions. He had the following to say about stepping back into the character: “The folks creating the game wanted the character to be as authentic as possible and I did my best to capture the original movements. It was fun to do and I had a great time with the team.”

The game will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes. If you play as a Haddonfield resident, you will attempt to warn fellow citizens of imminent danger and try to reach the authorities. If you opt to play as Myers, you’ll have to cut phone lines and strike fear into the hearts of locals.

That is just about all the excitement that we have for you at this juncture. Make sure to check out the official announcement trailer below for a look at what’s in store when the game makes its debut next year.
