Disturbing ‘Keeper’ Teaser Trailer Asks What It Takes to Make Love Last

“Why does it always have to end?” That’s the haunting question at the center of the new teaser for Osgood Perkins’ latest film, Keeper. While the teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much, the images of obscured faces, a fish picked clean, frantic doodles of screaming faces, and a terrified red-haired woman looking over her shoulder (possibly the same figure glimpsed outside a stained-glass window) prove we’re in for yet another disturbing entry from Perkins.

What is certain is that the two characters, who we now know as “Liz” (Tatiana Maslany) and Malcolm (Rossif Sutherland), want to know if love can ever truly be kept alive before coming to the conclusion that they’ve both found a keeper.

Check out the trailer below:

After cementing himself as one of the defining horror directors of the moment with The Blackcoat’s Daughter, Longlegs, and The Monkey, Perkins seems to be determined to keep audiences unsettled. Where most of us quietly wonder what it takes to sustain love in something as vulnerable as a long-term relationship, Perkins twists the question into something way more sinister, and it seems like the answers won’t be comforting.

Maslany and Sutherland star in the film alongside Tess Degenstein, Claire Friesen, Erin Boyes, and
Christin Park.

Keeper comes to theaters on November 14, 2025, from Neon.
