Calling all Rob Zombie stans. Fans of the director’s work are sure to be pleased to learn that The Devil’s Rejects is finally getting the 4K UHD treatment! Additionally, Lionsgate is commemorating the film’s 20-year anniversary (which rolled around on July 22nd) with a two-night theatrical screening of the picture.

Fathom Events is putting on the retrospective screening on October 6 and October 8, when the spooky season is in full swing. The screenings will feature a brand new introduction by Zombie. As for the impending physical media re-release, Lionsgate will drop the film on 4K on October 14, 2025.

The setup for The Devil’s Rejects goes as follows:

After a raid on the rural home of the psychopathic Firefly family, two members of the clan, Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), manage to flee the scene. Heading to a remote desert motel, the killers reunite with Baby’s father, Capt. Spaulding (Sid Haig), who is equally demented and intent on maintaining their murder spree. While the trio continues to torment and kill various victims, the vengeful Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe) slowly closes in on them.

Now, you’re probably wondering what kind of goodies the format upgrade includes. Well, we’ve got you covered. The cover art for the upcoming release (pictured below) is designed by none other than Graham Humphreys. If the name doesn’t immediately ring a bell, he’s steadily worked in the genre space since the ‘80s, having previously provided artwork for films like Basket Case and The Evil Dead.

As for the bonus features, there are plenty of them. The caveat is that they’re all ported over from previous releases.

The bonus content includes:

  • Audio Commentary with Director Rob Zombie
  • Audio Commentary With Actors Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Sheri Moon Zombie
  • Blooper reel
  • The Morris Green Show – Ruggsville’s #1 Talk Show
  • Mary the Monkey Girl Commercial
  • Spaulding Christmas Commercial
  • Cheerleader Missing – The Otis Home Movie
  • Satan’s Got to Get Along Without Me – Buck Owens Video
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Make-up Tests
  • Matthew McGrory Tribute
  • Still Gallery
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • TV Spots
  • 30 Days in Hell: The Making of The Devil’s Rejects

Though it’s a bummer that there’s nothing new included, aside from the redesigned cover art, that’s nonetheless an impressive collection of legacy features. And in all fairness, with so many existing features, it’s difficult to imagine what else the distributor could have added to top what’s already out there.

So, there you have it. The Devil’s Rejects is coming to 4K UHD (and a theater near you) in October! Stay tuned to the site for more timely updates as they break. In the meantime, you can always find me rambling on about physical media on Threads. I am active on the platform as @FunWithHorror.
