‘Invoking Scream’: Found Footage Sequel Unleashes New Poster [Exclusive]

Following the cult success of Invoking Yell—released digitally in September last year via Welcome Villain Films and now streaming on Shudder—the team returns to the analog horror universe! Titled Invoking Scream, Patricio Valladares returns to direct, as well as co-write the script with Barry Keating. Today, we’re excited to exclusively share the upcoming sequel’s poster!
In Invoking Scream:
After uncovering a buried box containing a VHS tape and a mysterious book of witchcraft at the grave of Invoking Yell’s lead singer Andrea Fernández, another trio of metalheads unwittingly unleashes a dark force. What begins as a documentary about Andrea’s disappearance and the 1998 murders of her doomed bandmates quickly descends into a waking nightmare where the past doesn’t just haunt the living… it demands a sacrifice.
Now, check out the chilling new poster:

María Jesús Marcone (reprising her role from Invoking Yell), Luna Martínez, Teresita Ríos, Matías López, and Romina Dagnino star in the new film.
Produced by Vittorio Farfán, Sebastián Riestra, Diego Moral Heimpell, and Patricio Valladares under the Vallastudio Films banner, Invoking Scream is currently in post-production.
We were big fans of Invoking Yell, which we saw at the 2023 Unnamed Footage Festival. In my review, I wrote:
Despite its pacing issues, Invoking Yell is an exciting film that opens up new possibilities for found footage. Valladares shows how to make all-female found footage while tackling a subculture never seen in the subgenre. It’s violent, it’s creepy, it’s a shining example of contemporary international found footage.
Invoking Scream is expected to premiere theatrically in Chile and screen at international genre festivals in 2026.
