EXCLUSIVE ‘Don’t Let The Cat Out’ Clip: They’ve Found The Perfect Vessel

Don't Let The Cat Out

As a cat lover, any film with a title like Don’t Let The Cat Out is guaranteed to get my attention. And it helps that Tim Cruz’s new film is a campy horror film about a couple who will do literally anything for their feline friend.

In the film,

When Charlie agrees to house sit on Halloween, he expects a quiet evening alone. But the night quickly goes to hell when he is kidnapped and tortured by the deranged homeowners who plan to use Charlie’s body as a vessel to resurrect their beloved dead cat.

In our exclusive clip, our villainous couple reveals their intentions to the unsuspecting Charlie.

We’re already big fans of this title. In his review of the film out of Panic Fest 2025 (where Don’t Let The Cat Out had its world premiere), Dread Central’s Chad Collins wrote,

This is fun genre filmmaking, a concept bold enough to attract viewers and accomplished enough to keep them there. While the title might urge you to keep the cat inside, the titular feline is already out of the bag. And it should be. Let it stay there. It’s not going to rock your world, but as the equivalent of a cat crawling up and resting on your lap, Don’t Let the Cat Out is pretty nice and comforting while it lasts.

Written and produced by Anthony Del Negro, who also gives a star-making performance, the story is loosely based on his own disturbing experience as a house sitter.

Del Negro stars in the film with Jordan James Smith and horror icon Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever).

Don’t Let The Cat Out will play at FrightFest London on August 22, 2025.
