How would you like the chance to escape into an engaging crime thriller series that features the added bonus of breathtaking cinematography guaranteed to transport you to an idyllic and scenic landscape? Are you sold yet? If not, allow me to sweeten the deal even more. The series in question also features an all-star cast and a twisty narrative with which fans and critics alike are connecting.

Better yet, the series sits as the most-watched program on the Netflix platform today! Millions of subscribers cannot possibly be wrong, can they? I mean, I guess it’s technically possible, but that’s highly unlikely.

The program that I so mysteriously speak of is the limited series Untamed. The setup for the program is this: In the vast expanse of Yosemite National Park, a woman’s death draws a federal agent into lawless terrain, where nature obeys no rules but its own.

Now, I told you that fans were reacting enthusiastically to this six-episode series, and that’s a claim that I have every intention of backing up. On that note, I encourage you to scroll below for a sampling of promising social media responses!

Untamed debuted on Netflix a week ago today, and it has claimed the top chart position each day since. It’s easy enough to make an impact right off the bat, but to hold onto the top slot for a week straight suggests that there’s something there. I have to admit that my curiosity is piqued and that I plan to dive into this bite-sized effort shortly. I’m in need of a weekend binge, and this looks like it might just do the trick.

The series is co-created by father/daughter team Mark L. Smith & Elle Smith. The pair also serves as showrunners on the project. They additionally take the sole writing credits for the program.

Even if his name doesn’t ring a bell, you’re likely familiar with Mark’s work. He co-wrote the screenplay for the Oscar-winning film The Revenant. This isn’t Elle’s first rodeo, either. The duo previously collaborated on the script for The Marsh King’s Daughter.

As for the impressive cast, Eric Bana, Sam Neill, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lily Santiago, and Wilson Bethel topline the series.

That is just about all that we’ve got for you at present, dear reader, but don’t fret. We’ll be back with more streaming-related updates in the very near future. If you don’t think you can wait that long, you can always find me on Threads. I am active on the platform as @FunWithHorror.
