EXCLUSIVE: ‘Custom’ Trailer Is A Psychosexual Nightmare
Filmmaker Tiago Teixeira is wandering into the world of David Cronenberg with his psychosexual film, Custom. Porn meets esoteric rituals as boundaries blur and reality becomes malleable in this erotic nightmare.

Teixeria told Dread Central,
“The main plot device is these strange rituals that the protagonists are paid to shoot, some sort of esoteric sex videos. But seeing what they shot is something disconnected from reality, as if we’re looking into a different world. I worked hard with Philipp (our cinematographer) to create the specific aesthetic for these scenes. Since the beginning, our main inspiration has been the work of Philippe Grandrieux, especially his video art pieces. We wanted them to feel like a place out of time, where reality moves strangely, in an unpredictable way. The score by Ted Regklis captured this feeling perfectly. It’s like we’re peeking into a different universe. The sound design by Sam Mason is impeccable as well. I’m very happy with how they look.“
Abigail Hardingham (Nina Forever), Rowan Polonski (Kingsman: The Secret Service), and Brad Moore (Gloves Off) star in the new film.
Custom comes to digital and VOD on August 19, 2025.
